Getting Started

Quick Start Guide

Last updated March 13, 2026

This guide walks you through setting up Rankspiral and generating your first article. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

Step 1: Sign Up

Create an account at rankspiral.com/signup. You'll get a free 3-day trial — no credit card required.

Step 2: Complete Onboarding

After signing up, you'll go through a 4-step onboarding flow:

  1. Your Business — Enter your website URL (we'll auto-scrape your site to understand what you do), project name, and a brief description
  2. About You — Select your industry, main goal (traffic, leads, sales, or brand awareness), and SEO experience level
  3. Content Settings — Choose your target market, language, writing tone, and image style
  4. Review — Confirm everything looks right and click "Build My Content Strategy"

Step 3: Explore Your Content Map

After onboarding, Rankspiral automatically creates your initial content strategy:

  • Up to 3 content pillars based on your business
  • Up to 3 topic clusters per pillar
  • Up to 5 keywords per cluster, with search volume and difficulty data

You can find this in the Content Map tab of your project.

Step 4: Generate Your First Article

Go to the Keywords tab, pick a keyword, and click Generate. Rankspiral will:

  1. Research the topic (search intent, related keywords, People Also Ask)
  2. Create a structured outline with sections and subheadings
  3. Write the full article section-by-section (3,000+ words)
  4. Generate a featured image
  5. Add internal and external links

If you have Outline Review enabled, you'll get to edit the outline before the article is written. Otherwise, the full pipeline runs automatically.

Step 5: Review and Publish

Once the article is generated, review it in the built-in editor. You can edit text, add links, and tweak formatting. When you're happy, click Publish to send it to your connected CMS.

Next Steps

  • Connect your site — Set up a WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow integration to auto-publish
  • Schedule keywords — Use Auto Schedule to plan daily publishing
  • Set up brand voice — Customize the tone and style so every article sounds like you
