Every business sounds different. Rankspiral lets you configure your brand voice so every article sounds like you wrote it.

Tone Presets

Choose from built-in tone presets:

• Professional — Formal, authoritative, and polished
• Conversational — Friendly and approachable, like talking to a colleague
• Technical — Precise, detailed, and data-driven
• Casual — Relaxed and informal
• Authoritative — Expert-level confidence and depth
• Witty — Clever, engaging, with personality

Custom Voice (Pro & BYOK)

On the Pro and BYOK plans, you can write a custom voice description — a free-text field where you describe exactly how your content should sound. For example:

"Friendly expert who uses short sentences, real-world analogies, and avoids corporate jargon. We speak directly to small business owners who are new to SEO. Use 'you' and 'we' liberally."

This description is included in every article generation prompt, ensuring consistency across all your content.

Offerings

Configure your products and services (called Offerings) in project settings. Each offering has a name, URL, and description. These are used to:

• Generate more relevant keyword suggestions
• Keep article content aligned with what you actually sell
• Provide context for AI link insertion — the AI naturally links to your offerings in articles

Competitors

Optionally add your known competitors in project settings. Each competitor has a name and website URL. Adding competitors improves the research stage — the AI uses them to analyze competitive angles, content gaps, and differentiation points. If you don't add competitors, the AI discovers them automatically via web search.

Image Style

Choose how AI-generated images look across your articles. You can select a preset style (flat minimal, photorealistic, illustrated, dark cinematic, watercolor) or write a fully custom style prompt describing exactly how you want images to look. You can also upload a reference image that the AI uses to match your brand's visual aesthetic.
