BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

The BYOK plan lets you use your own Anthropic and OpenAI API keys. You pay Rankspiral $39/month for the platform, and you pay the AI providers directly for usage. This gives you unlimited articles and projects.

Required API Keys

You need two keys:

  • Anthropic API Key — For article generation (outline + writing). Starts with sk-ant-
  • OpenAI API Key — For research and image generation. Starts with sk-

Setup

  1. Go to Settings → API Keys in your Rankspiral dashboard
  2. Enter your Anthropic API key
  3. Enter your OpenAI API key
  4. Click Save

Keys are saved securely and used for all your projects.

Choosing a Model

BYOK users can choose which AI model to use per project:

  • Haiku 4.5 — Fast and affordable. Good for high-volume content.
  • Sonnet 4.6 — Balanced quality and cost. Recommended for most use cases.
  • Opus 4.6 — Premium quality. Best for high-stakes content where quality is paramount.

Cost Estimates

A typical 3,000-word article costs approximately:

  • Haiku: ~$0.10–0.20
  • Sonnet: ~$0.50–1.00
  • Opus: ~$2.50–5.00

These are rough estimates and vary based on article length, research depth, and image generation.
