Revive old posts

Your old posts already have a head start

Bring your existing blog in for free. RankSpiral tells you which posts are worth reviving, adds only what each one is missing, and leaves the text that already ranks alone.

Import is free and your URLs stay exactly as they are.

Every post gets a verdict

Not every old post needs work

RankSpiral looks at where each post ranks today and how well it’s built, then tells you what to do with it, and why.

Doing well

Ranking 1 to 4

It's working. We leave it alone, and so should you.

Add to it

Ranking 5 to 25

Close enough that the right additions can tip it onto page one.

Rewrite it

Below 25, or not ranking

Small edits won't move it. A fresh body, same URL, has a real chance.

Too new

Under four weeks old

Google is still making up its mind. We wait before touching it.

Positions come from RankSpiral’s own rank tracking, so you don’t need Search Console to start.

Two ways to revive

Add to what works, or start fresh

Add to it

For posts ranking 5 to 25

A refresh only adds. Up to four edits: a new section, a few more paragraphs where a section runs thin, new FAQ answers. Each one comes with its reason, like a question Google shows that the post never answers, or a search the page already appears for in Search Console.

Your existing text, headings, title and URL stay exactly as they are.

Rewrite it

For posts nowhere near page one

When small edits won’t move a post, it gets a new body, written in your brand voice, more thorough than before and with an FAQ section. Images and links come along wherever they still fit.

Same title, same URL, so the post keeps every link pointing at it.

Safe by design

Nothing you can’t take back

You see it first

Every planned edit comes with its reason, and a rewrite comes as a full preview. Nothing changes until you apply it.

The URL never changes

Same slug, same address, so every link and every bit of ranking history the post has stays with it.

One click to undo

Changed your mind? Undo puts the post back exactly as it was, as long as it hasn't been edited since.

Publish date kept

The original publish date stays. We only note when the content was updated.

Bring your blog in free

We read your sitemap, so it works with any platform. You pick the posts. Importing uses no article credits.

Update the live post in place

Re-publish and the existing post updates on WordPress, Shopify and Webflow, or through a webhook. No duplicate pages.

A refresh analysis or a rewrite draft uses one article credit. If we find nothing worth adding, it’s free, and if nothing ends up applied, the credit comes back.

Questions people ask

Will reviving a post change its URL?

No. A refresh never touches the title, slug or URL, and a rewrite keeps the same title and URL too. The original publish date stays as it was.

Does it rewrite the text that already ranks?

Not when it refreshes. A refresh only adds: new sections, extra paragraphs and new FAQ answers, at most four edits, each with a reason. Your existing text and headings stay exactly as they are. A full rewrite is only suggested for posts nowhere near page one, and you see the whole new version before anything changes.

What if I don't like the changes?

Nothing changes until you approve it. You see every planned edit with its reason, or the full rewrite as a preview, and apply it with one click. If you change your mind afterwards, undo is one click too, as long as the post hasn't been edited since.

Which platforms does it work with?

Importing works with any site that has a sitemap, and it's free. To update the live post after a revive, you re-publish it: RankSpiral updates the existing post in place on WordPress, Shopify and Webflow, and through webhooks.

How much does a revive cost?

Analysing a post for a refresh, or drafting a rewrite, uses one article credit, and applying it is included. If the analysis finds nothing worth adding, there's no charge, and if nothing ends up applied, the credit comes back.

Do I need Google Search Console?

No. RankSpiral decides which posts to revive from its own rank tracking. If Search Console is connected, a refresh also uses the searches the page already shows up for as evidence for what to add.
